- As a result of a pothole or some other road blemish (NSW roads
- are full of them), I now have a (very) small ding in the rim of
- my front wheel. It is just enough to cause the loss of about 3-4
- psi per day from the tire.
-
- I can nurse it back and forth to work each day as I carry a pressure
- gauge and live near a servo but my question is... Can my local bike
- shop fix the wheel, or is it a specialist job?
-
- I've got contradictory advice recently - some say wheel repairs are
- an art form and require expert personnel and special equipment while
- others say it's easy to fix a small ding once the tire is off. Anyone
- have an opinion on this???
