  19. Just an enquiry re MITA photocopiers - are they *all* bad, or do we have
  20. a lemon?  Or is it just that the local MITA service people here in the
  21. deep north are ignorant or incompetent?

  23. We've only had the machine for a few months - only about 144000 copies to 
  24. date - but it's driving us mad with its unreliability.  It's been "fixed" 
  25. about 3 times in the past few weeks AND IT'S STILL USELESS!!!

  27. The problem seems to be loss of control over the toner:  at the "normal" 
  28. setting you get grey rather than black, if you adjust towards Darker you 
  29. get grey or black where you had white!  The output is also streaky, i.e. 
  30. as well as general loss of control there are variations across the copy.

  32. If anyone is familiar with this symptom on the MITA Model DC3285, please 
  33. let me know how it can be fixed so I can tell the bloody serviceman when 
  34. he eventually gets here again!

  36. On a more general level, if you have an opinion for or against MITA 
  37. copiers, please e-mail me and I will post a summary of user experiences 
  38. with this brand (let me know the specific model you are complaining 
  39. about too, please - or endorsing, though that seems unlikely in our 
  40. experience).  Incidentally, I did hear (admittedly from a competitor) 
  41. that TAFE colleges have been having lots of trouble with MITA copiers 
  42. too, but not the same model as ours.
