  13. I borrow this account from my friend John to ask a question
  14. concerning the transition from F1 to H1.

  16. I graduated last May (1992) with a M.Sc. and found a job in South 
  17. San Francisco in October. 
  18. Right now, I have been working for more than one month, but my employer
  19. has not done anything regarding my visa status. I have not been asked
  20. to fill or send any forms to INS. I dont know if my employ did any 
  21. paper work with INS for me concerning my visa.

  23. I had an F1 visa
  24. before and entered the pratical training after I graduated.

  26. So, I want to know what I should do next, what is the procedure
  27. for me to change to H1 visa?

  29. I am also not sure if it is OK for me to get employed before changing
  30. to H1.

  32. Also what is the difference between H1 and H1B1. Is H1 better?

  34. I know there are many experts on this net who are familiar with
  35. procedure of changing F1 to H1. Please give me some advice and 
  36. suggestion. I am worried about my situation.
