- Hi, everyone,
- I borrow this account from my friend John to ask a question
- concerning the transition from F1 to H1.
-
- I graduated last May (1992) with a M.Sc. and found a job in South
- San Francisco in October.
- Right now, I have been working for more than one month, but my employer
- has not done anything regarding my visa status. I have not been asked
- to fill or send any forms to INS. I dont know if my employ did any
- paper work with INS for me concerning my visa.
-
- I had an F1 visa
- before and entered the pratical training after I graduated.
-
- So, I want to know what I should do next, what is the procedure
- for me to change to H1 visa?
-
- I am also not sure if it is OK for me to get employed before changing
- to H1.
-
- Also what is the difference between H1 and H1B1. Is H1 better?
-
- I know there are many experts on this net who are familiar with
- procedure of changing F1 to H1. Please give me some advice and
- suggestion. I am worried about my situation.
-
- Thanks in advance.
