- It seems to me, and this has been mentioned before on
- alt.vampyres (But never by me :( ) that vampyrism is very
- closely related to sex, i.e. the extreme
- blood lust seems to relate very closely with sexual desire.
- Another sense of it my be that it is a somewhat forbidden
- passion, and although it seems that there has been a "sexual"
- revolution, there has not until now been a vampyre equivalent.
- What I see in the litterature that I have read, seems to show
- vampyres, having a nearly uncontrollable lust for blood, and that
- the actual aquisition of the blood is somewhat stimulating, or at
- least very fulfilling.
- In many ways this can be related to the sexual
- experience in my mind or at, least those that I have had.
- Passion, fullfilment, desire, all of these are quite sexual.
- Now I believe that a vampyre having this source of imbideing
- lust/passion would then be perfectly fullfilled at the aquisition of
- blood and that a sexual desire is furthermore quite unnessicary.
- In a biological sense in is extremely difficult for me to believe that
- a vampyre would be capable of sexual reproduction, as it is clear
- that their bodys are mostly dead, what ability could they have to
- produce life. From an evolutionary standpoint. Vampyres have
- reached the 'fittest state' referred to in our simple 'survival
- of the fittest' evolutionary standpoint as they are immortal.
- This further alludes to the fact that on an
- evolutionary basis a vampyre body would hardly spend time trying
- to (funny twist of actual evolution) create the ability to
- reproduce.
- Now as for FCC's Dracula it would seem that the vampyres
- were quite capable of sexual intercourse, however two things seem
- to be clearly demonstrated here.
- One, the girl, whom Dracula suduced was very sexually
- oriented, at a time in her life where she was experiencing sexual
- desire and at a time in history where she is
- not allowed to, lets say, meet her needs. It is
- clear that vampyres have the ability to shape their body somewhat
- and usually start from a human form anyway, so obvously Dracula
- could use this as a weapon in the seduction of our young
- mistress Lucy. Two, Dracula did not seek sexual fulfilment, he
- saught blood, and merely used sexual intercourse as a tool in
- gaining the blood that he desired.
- I don't think vampyres are very capable of having sexual
- intercourse in the same manner as humans, at least not for the
- same reasons, they are merely capable of performing the act, and
- using it as a tool in the seduction of foolish, or maybe willing,
- humans.

- That is all.
