  36. It seems to me, and this has been mentioned before on
  37. alt.vampyres (But never by me :( )  that vampyrism is very
  38. closely related to sex, i.e. the extreme
  39. blood lust seems to relate very closely with sexual desire.
  40. Another sense of it my be that it is a somewhat forbidden
  41. passion, and although it seems that there has been a "sexual"
  42. revolution, there has not until now been a vampyre equivalent.
  43. What I see in the litterature that I have read, seems to show
  44. vampyres, having a nearly uncontrollable lust for blood, and that
  45. the actual aquisition of the blood is somewhat stimulating, or at
  46. least very fulfilling. 
  47. In many ways this can be related to the sexual
  48. experience in my mind or at, least those that I have had.
  49. Passion, fullfilment, desire, all of these are quite sexual.
  50. Now I believe that a vampyre having this source of imbideing
  51. lust/passion would then be perfectly fullfilled at the aquisition of
  52. blood and that a sexual desire is furthermore quite unnessicary.  
  53.     In a biological sense in is extremely difficult for me to believe that
  54. a vampyre would be capable of sexual reproduction, as it is clear
  55. that their bodys are mostly dead, what ability could they have to
  56. produce life.  From an evolutionary standpoint.  Vampyres have
  57. reached the 'fittest state' referred to in our simple 'survival
  58. of the fittest' evolutionary standpoint as they are immortal.
  59. This further alludes to the fact that on an
  60. evolutionary  basis a vampyre body would hardly spend time trying
  61. to (funny twist of actual evolution) create the ability to
  62. reproduce.  
  63.         Now as for FCC's Dracula it would seem that the vampyres
  64. were quite capable of sexual intercourse, however two things seem
  65. to be clearly  demonstrated here.
  66. One, the girl, whom Dracula suduced was very sexually
  67. oriented, at a time in her life where she was experiencing sexual
  68. desire and at a time in history where she is
  69. not allowed to, lets say, meet her needs.  It is 
  70. clear that vampyres have the ability to shape their body somewhat
  71. and usually start from a human form anyway, so obvously Dracula
  72. could use this as a weapon in the seduction of our young
  73. mistress Lucy.  Two,  Dracula did not seek sexual fulfilment, he
  74. saught blood, and merely used sexual intercourse as a tool in
  75. gaining the blood that he desired.
  76.          I don't think vampyres are very capable of having sexual
  77. intercourse in the same manner as humans, at least not for the
  78. same reasons, they are merely capable of performing the act, and
  79. using it as a tool in the seduction of foolish, or maybe willing,
  80. humans.
