- In all the literature, source material, ect. that I've read, the fangs
- are just there to make the puncture--the blood is removed by sucking just like
- any other liquid would be in that situation. Additionally, most fangs are
- retractable until they're needed--running around with a lovely fang-filled
- smile would make it difficult to fit into normal society. (And isn't that
- what makes vampires so terrifing? That there could be one sitting *right
- next to you*? Hey, wait a minute, what are you. . . .)
