- So, John Camp spoke at UNC-Chapel Hill tonight and showed "Man's Best
- Friend" and a new one "The Pet Show." I imagine this has been completed
- for some time as months ago TV guide stated that this was the episode to
- be shown, and we were treated to a re-run (can you say "pulled at the
- last monent?" By now, I thought you could...) He also talked about an
- upcoming episode called "Ren's Brain" in which Stimpy gets tired of
- experimenting on the less-than-perfect brains he finds out back of the
- hospital, so he decides to use the most perfect brain he can find. So,
- while Ren is asleep, Stimpy removes it, operates on it, and gets too
- tired to finish, so he puts Ren's brain in a jar until he can get a nap.
- Ren's brain wakes up, exclaims "Cripes! I'm late for work!", and hops
- out the jar, puts on a hat, and heads out to work. After a while, Stimpy
- wakes up next to Ren's corpse, realizes what has happened, and
- transplants Ren's kidneys into Ren's head. Mayhem ensues. Sounds good,
- although J.C. seems to be leaning on the "Stimpy the Scientist" theme a
- little.
- Scenes to look for not being included in the final cut of "The Dog
- Show":
- 1) Ren getting his tail bobbed via a rubber band (great rotting
- sequence).
- 2) Ren and Stimpy getting their coats polished with an orbital sander,
- resulting in Ren's ribs and spine being exposed.
- 3) An inadequate yappy dog being tossed into the jaws of a waiting dog,
- who then "urps" back up the eyeballs.
- Such is life.
