  10. I have a question about Rimmer the hologram. In the epsiode "Holoship" in
  11. series five Rimmer decides to join the crew of the Holoship so the Red
  12. Dwarf crew decide to bring back a member of the dead crew as a hologram
  13. to replace Rimmer.

  15. QUESTIONS

  18. 1) If all of the dead Red Dwarf crew are still on the ship why don't
  19.    they bring back more of the crew as holograms ? In Red Dwarf science
  20.    can only one hologram exist at a time ? Is their only ONE light bead 
  21.    therfore only ONE hologram ?

  23. 2) I realise that the Red Dwarf series has all of the regular characters
  24.    it needs but it seems a bit mean that all of the dead crew have to
  25.    remain "dead".

  27. 3) Why was Rimmer the hologram when it could have been any one of the
  28.    dead crew ?
  29.  
  30. 4) I know that holograms can't touch anything so bringing back an Engine
  31.    Mechanic might seem to be useless but he would certainly be able to 
  32.    tell people what to do.

  34. 5) What happens to Rimmer when he has to recharge his light bead ?
  35.  
  36. 6) A hologram is a dead person in hologram format. Is the only possible step
  37.    after death to become a hologram i.e hologram status is the equivalent
  38.    to the so called afterlife ? I take it that once your dead you can come
  39.    back as a hologram at any time in the future ?
