- I need some advice on controlling frame colors:
-
- Having very little knowledge about XVIEW I am confronted with the problem of
- controlling the frame colors (frame, frame-title, buttons, button-titles, etc.)
- while I run an application that requires me to set up the full color map. It
- seems that the frame colors can only be controlled if I reserve four of the 256
- colormap entries for XVIEW to use for the frame. I would be perfectly happy if
- I could make the frames created by my application point to known entries in my
- dynamic (user defined) colormap; but I DO need to specify all 256 colors of the
- map (I can't give four colors back to XVIEW to control). I don't even
- particulary care what colors the frames become, as long as they are readable
- (currently, I can't predict whether they'll fall within the gray-scale portion
- of my colormap and be useless). Any tricks/solutions would be much appreciated.

- Don't reply to this this account, as I have no net access and the friend of a
- friend who is posting this for me has probably never even heard of XVIEW.
- Either post responses and I'll try to check the group, or (preferably) send
- email to rickc@etak.com (or do both). Thanks for any tips.
