- Sounds like AMOS is like Turbo Pascal on the PC. Great program, but you couldn't
- use Turbo Pascal programs on anything but a true-blue PC unless the coder went
- totally out of his way they all wrote directly to screen memory. Later on they
- added more drivers (Hercules, Compaq, EGA) and more True Blue clones came out,
- but for a while you could always tell a Turbo program because it broke on
- your Corona or Victor or TI. And because there were all these broken Turbo
- programs, all the really stupid design decisions in the PC got locked in...
