  13. Sounds like AMOS is like Turbo Pascal on the PC. Great program, but you couldn't
  14. use Turbo Pascal programs on anything but a true-blue PC unless the coder went
  15. totally out of his way they all wrote directly to screen memory. Later on they
  16. added more drivers (Hercules, Compaq, EGA) and more True Blue clones came out,
  17. but for a while you could always tell a Turbo program because it broke on
  18. your Corona or Victor or TI. And because there were all these broken Turbo
  19. programs, all the really stupid design decisions in the PC got locked in...
