  11. Well, I had a killer session two weeks ago Saturday, when the whole north
  12. coast was getting slammed with some pretty huge swell.  There was a large
  13. crowd out at Mavricks, so my brother and I headed south.  We ended up north
  14. of Santa Cruz, at a name-spot known for focusing large surf.  All rights.
  15. We stayed out 3 1/2 hours and had an extremely fun session.  It pretty much
  16. flattened out shortly after that, and the swell has been pretty small in most
  17. places for most of the last two weeks.  
  18. Friday we saw a little bit of south swell show up here, and between a bunch
  19. of stuff I ended up having to do, I still managed a "quickie" 45min session.
  20. I went out at the reefs behind my house.  It was fairly small, though there
  21. were set waves to just overhead (about 6 foot faces).  No one else was out, and
  22. no one around (partially why it was a quickie!).  Since the reefs are pretty 
  23. secluded, if you get in any kind of trouble (hurt, maimed, eaten, etc.  you
  24. know, the usual stuff =:-0) basically no one will find out for awhile.  It was
  25. worth the risk, though, as I scored 6 to 8 really decent rides before coming
  26. in.  I had just glassed the trailing fin back on my 6'4" Bonzer, and really 
  27. needed to give it a try.  The thing works pretty good!
  28. Surfed the reefs again today, and the swell was up, but it was bumpier than
  29. when I pulled a loner sess on Friday.  There were a couple of guys out, and
  30. we all caught our share.  Faces were from 5 to 8 feet, and it looks like it
  31. may be building...
  32. Have to work early tommorow, so I guess no surf for me till Wednesday.  
  33. If any other N. Cal net surfers want to get together for an Ocean Beach, or
  34. possibly Half Moon Bay net surf sometime during the week, let me know, as I'm
  35. usually up for it.  I don't surf on Sunday, and pretty much hate the crowds 
  36. which tend to appear on Saturday, but if a couple of you want to go on a 
  37. Saturday, maybe that would work too.  This week should be good, as I hear
  38. we're in for a north swell in the next couple o' days.  Later...
