- I really like those Subway veggie & cheese subs. A lot of Subways have
- been making them for years, but haven't put them on the menu til recently.
- I like these sandwiches better than the turkey ones when I'm trying to
- be good, because their meat seems pretty nasty to me.
-
- Do you ever watch when they make the sandwiches? Every Subway I've been to
- really loads on the cheese -- usually 2 slices in a 6 inch sandwich. I
- always ask if I can trade half my cheese for some extra tomatoes.
-
- I think the bread in a 6" sandwich is more than 100, but that's a guesstimate
- (I try to be a little pessimistic or I'll go crazy on whatever I'm eating).
-
- If you omit the black olives, 100 calories seems high for the veggies to me,
- because you're not *really* getting much in the veggie department...a big
- handful of shredded iceburg, 3 or 4 tomato slices, a bunch of really thin
- green pepper slivers, some onions, and pickles (yum!!).
-
- My question is, do the hot peppers have a lot of oil in them? There's some
- kind of wetness to them, but I can't figure out if it's oil, juice, or a vinegar/
- brine type thing.
