- Isn't this funny? And, unfortunately, so true. I've thought that a
- weight loss program that incorporated video would probably be either
- very successful at motivating people, or it would go out of business
- because too many people wouldn't be able to handle the reality.

- What's even funnier is that it works both ways. We don't see ourselves
- as fat as we are, but when we lose the weight, we don't really see ourselves
- as thin as we are. As I was losing my weight, people kept telling me "you
- must be so amazed..." and I kept telling them "the truth is, I don't see
- it when I look in the mirror." That's why I think video would be helpful
- for people to adopt a new body image that more closely resembles where
- they really are.
