  24. I know what you mean.  The other problem is that so many of the jeans made
  25. in plus sizes shrink the minute you wash them, even in cold water, etc.

  27. I did find one brand, though that is great -- LEE:
  28. - come in sizes up to at least 28W
  29. - have an elastic insert at the sides of the waistband, leaving the front
  30.     and back of the waistband flat
  31. - are not made of some knit substance pretending to be denim
  32. - come in lengths average and short (for those 5'4" or under)
  33. - don't shrink to a size smaller than you bought when you put them in
  34.     the washing machine.

  36. I buy this brand almost exclusively now.  Problem sometimes is finding
  37. them.  Your posting reminds me that I've meant to find the phone number for
  38. LEE so I could call them to find out what stores in my area sell their plus
  39. sizes.  If I track down their number I'll post it.
