- An auto-trigger on a pump gun is fundamentally inaccurate because
- (unless you have far more precise control of strong fast movements
- than I do) the pumping motion is going to swing the barrel around
- a bit.
-
- This is not to say that an auto-trigger on a pump is not useful.
- There have been several occasions when I burst into a clearing
- or came around a corner and found 2-4 people who were still busy
- saying "what the f**k" - and at 10-20 feet a slightly inaccurate
- auto-trigger was not an issue. The ability to pop off ten shots
- in ten seconds while jumping around was the key to my survival.
- Most of my shots hit, and even the people I miss are too busy
- diving for cover to be a threat.
