  13. An auto-trigger on a pump gun is fundamentally inaccurate because 
  14. (unless you have far more precise control of strong fast movements
  15. than I do) the pumping motion is going to swing the barrel around
  16. a bit.

  18. This is not to say that an auto-trigger on a pump is not useful.
  19. There have been several occasions when I burst into a clearing
  20. or came around a corner and found 2-4 people who were still busy
  21. saying "what the f**k" - and at 10-20 feet a slightly inaccurate
  22. auto-trigger was not an issue.  The ability to pop off ten shots
  23. in ten seconds while jumping around was the key to my survival.
  24. Most of my shots hit, and even the people I miss are too busy 
  25. diving for cover to be a threat.
