- This reminds me of something I had going on a few years back. In the
- book _Catch-22_, a situation similar to the one you just described
- happens, except that several people get phone calls in which the
- person on the other end says, "T. S. Eliot," and hangs up. (Read the
- book if you want to know why.) I found this to be hilarious and
- told all of my friends about it. Soon we were all calling each other,
- saying, "T. S. Eliot," and hanging up. I also made a point of calling
- my former high school every day and doing likewise.

- The crowning achievement of this running joke happened when I went
- away to college. During lunch one day, I explained the whole joke
- to a friend. Later, the friend and I went to get our mail. The
- only mail I got that day was an unsigned letter which said, "T. S. Eliot."
- Perfect timing!
