In my Senior year in high school (and a long time ago, at that), I was
one of 12 students in a Physics class.  After showing up to class one
day, we soon discovered that the instructor was going to be very late,
so we decided to pull one off on him.  He had a closet behind his desk
that he would use at least once during the class period, stored books
and other items.  All the students, except me, piled into the closet,
where ever they could get in, including on shelves.  About halfway
through the class the instructor shows up and to his surprize, I'm the
only one there!  I told him that the rest had gotten bored and left.  He
said I could just sit there and study while he got some work done,
sitting in his chair just inches from the "crew".  They managed to stay
quiet and I managed to keep him out of the closet till 5 minutes before
class ended.  The look on his face was precious when he opened up the
door to the closet!

Not to be outdone however, the instructor pulled one off on the class.
He waited several weeks/months until the incident had been forgotten.
He had us come into the room one at a time for a one-on-one Physics
experiment, entailing some sort of "simon says" antics, which moved
faster and faster as the experiment proceeded, ending in sitting on a
chair.  As each student finished the "experiment", they stayed in the
room.  Before the final sit-down, the student behind the victim placed a
wet sponge on the seat, per the instructor's instructions.  The rest is
history and all involved had a good laugh.
