  17. I know of two such collections: 
  18. The first is called "The Barney Love Tapes" and is a 7" record put
  19. out by Vinyl Communications Records of San Diego. I have never heard
  20. the record but I suspect that this might be what you are referring to.

  22. The second one I have been told is far superior to TBLT, but it is 
  23. immensely more obscure and you probably won't be able to get it. It's 
  24. called "The Tube Bar", and it's a 12" record of a bunch of crank calls
  25. to a bar (the Tube Bar) in the DC vicinity. The guy who keeps answering
  26. the phone is really gullible at first, but when he figures out that he
  27. has been taken, he launches into barrages of epithets like you've 
  28. NEVER heard.  It was put out by the Teen Beat label of Washington DC (or
  29. maybe Richmond VA).

  31. And while I'm on this note, I'll make another plug for the book "Pranks!"
  32. because one of the interviews is with this guy Mal Sharpe (some of you
  33. may have heard of him) and they provide a transcription of one of the
  34. funniest things I've ever read, he and a friend go into neighborhood 
  35. businesses and confuse the hell out of people, just like some people 
  36. on this newsgroup were talking about with the conference-call pranks...
