- I saw a couple of requests for industrial sewing machine sources a
- while back. I remember that Wheeler's Sewing Machine Co. was
- recommended to those of us taking Fashion Design courses at
- Fullerton College.
-
- I just called them to verify and better provide the following info.
- I hope this helps:
-
- They have been in business for over 50 years. The address, phone:
-
- Wheeler Sewing Machine Co
- 218 S. Grand Ave.
- Santa Ana, CA 92701
-
- phone: (714) 547-0743
- fax: (714) 954-0651
-
- The man in charge of industrial sewing machines, Les, told me that
- since there are over 3000 brands of these, that in your request to
- the company, include mention of brand, make, model, or what your
- application will be. If you can narrow this down, he may be able
- to send brochures.
-
- He says that you can get a straight needle machine for $525. I don't
- know what their shipping policies are. They also carry used
- industrial overlocks. One of my classmates had bought one (this was
- well over 5 years ago), and said they are virtually indestructible.
