- ] Only problem is, I don't know what to get a 2-3 week old kid for Christmas.
-
- Stuffed toy made for lots of wear and tear.
- Probably should be very soft, no bigger
- than the baby, and have grab-able appendages
- (stuffed teddybears aren't popular JUST due
- to good marketing!)
-
- Other than that - teething ring, pacifier,
- baby-spoon - check out your local jewelers
- or department store, or if you have them,
- a Ross/Marshall's/T.J.Maxx or other factory
- outlet discount type place where they sell
- seconds and past-season overstocks. You
- can find a wide variety of baby things -
- including things like silver-plated spoons,
- cups, etc. Back to olden days - get a silver
- two-handled baby-cup, and have the name and
- date engraved on the side. It'll be a
- keepsake to be handed down...
-
- The other idea is classic books for reading
- to the baby. There's a boxed set of the
- complete AA Milne "Pooh" books out - I just
- got them for my brother's kids - or the
- Rudyard Kipling Jungle Books.
-
- And the time-honored 0 dollars present -
- a coupon book good for babysitting time!
- (give to the baby - not the parents - even
- though the parents will be using it!)
