- The sun rising high into the sky over the ARC realm reveals to the
- eye all of the beauty that nature beholds. The plush greens and vibrant
- pastels. Every color different from the next, but every color contributing
- to the whole. If one color were to disappear, the beauty would change.
-
- Down the middle of this natural scenery lies a path, but unlike other paths,
- this path seems to belong here. It adds to the overall feeling of the
- surroundings. Perhaps it is the castle rising out of the ground that
- helps the path to belong. Or perhaps it is the frequent travellings that
- it is host to. Whichever it may be, it seems that a new pair of boots
- have found there way down the road today. Attention seemed to be drawn to the
- stranger as soon as he rose over the horizon, possibly it is the attraction
- of something new, something mysterious, but there is definitely something
- different about this man walking ever so confident and methodical towards
- the castle entrance.
-
- His appearance is that of many journeys. His garments reveal a life abroad
- and free of geographical ties. The colors he wears do not reveal anything
- about his cast. He neather wears teh dark colors of nobility, nor the
- common colors of peasant. Instead he seems to wear the colors of nature.
- Light greens and browns, that no doubt started as the dark greens of the
- forest but faided with travel to their present conditions. His boots are
- earthen brown, probably not from dye but from dirt and wear. It would
- seem that life has dealt him an endless road. But at the same time, he
- would have it no other way. Although neither tall nor exceptionally large,
- his average height and stout build reveal large distances covered with neither
- horse nor carriage. As he approaches closer, his features become more
- distinguishable. His origin is definitely foreign. That face would make
- sculptors envious. It appears to be chisled into place; however, his eyes
- seem almost lifeless and evil. Not an ounce of emmotion can be detected from
- those eyes. A small amount of fear briefly enters those studying the
- stranger, but it is soon replaced by wonder and curiousity.
-
- Although the toughest protection he wears is leather, the finely crafted
- sword and dagger strapped to his hips hint at some type of military
- service somewhere in his past. But what and where just become another
- mystery surrounding the emergence of the stranger. We displays no coat of
- arms, nor does he wear the colors of any known army. If he posses scars of
- battle, non are visible now. But his eyes, although they reveal no emmotion,
- display a knowledge of battle. Both of brutality and of strategy. What he
- knows is a lot more than his appearance reveals.
-
- Arriving at the castle gates, he calls out with a voice both strong and
- demanding, and soft and caring. "Hello there. I am but a voyager by the
- name of Marcello. 'Tis anyone there? My voyages have led me to the road
- that brought me to this realm. I have been on the road for many months
- now, all that time with nature as my only companion. May I enter?
- Would it be possible for me to stay within your land for but awhile. I need
- no room, I can stay in the forests. I need no food, as long as I may hunt
- and forage. I honorably request an audience with the ruler of this land
- to ask their permission for these things. 'Tis anyone there?"
-
- Throughout his calling out, his confidence never sways. He seems to know
- that many eyes have fallen upon him, and that curiousity surrounds him.
- His blue eyes show this confidence and never once allow the tiniest amount
- of uncertainty to enter them. Patiently Marcello awaits an answer, confident
- that he knows the one he'll get.
