- Hiho. Well... I imagine if I got an "anonymous" letter like this, I'd have a
- hard time taking it seriously. If I got a letter like this, I probably
- wouldn't go. If I did, I'd be more interested as curiousity rather than
- romantic intent. I suggest signing your name. This way he'll know who he is
- to meet, and if he does show, there's a better chance he's "interested". He'd
- also be able to call if he is interested but can't make the time of your
- invite. Oh...if he doesn't even know your name by sight, he'd probably be
- VERY uncomfortable when meeting you on this date. Not to put down the idea,
- but it just might not go well if he's more uncomfortable than need be. I
- suggest somehow briefly meeting him before this letter goes out. (Obviously
- the "traditional" thing would be the personal asking-out, but it sounds like
- you want to avoid this; that's ok too.)
