  19. Look at it from her perspective. She has a warm, caring, attentive friend,
  20. who obviously likes her and does things for her....and she doesn't have to do
  21. anything in return to keep this thing going. So why should she change? She
  22. has things very good, and she doesn't have to work for them!

  24. If you do pull back, chances are she would change...but chances are also good
  25. that she would revert to her current behavior patterns should you resume your
  26. attentions.

  28. It's a sad truth of life that people very rarely look at someone who has been
  29. devoted to them, suddenly notice how wonderful they are, and start
  30. reciprocating.
