- Seriously, a lot of this depends on whether you live with the person or not,
- where things get very logistical. Actually, I'm not clear on your question
- would you want to have an exact date. A date you decide on but don't tell
- you SO till then or a mutually agreed upon date?
-
- I would think a mutual date would be a very weird thing to do unless the
- relationship was relatively casual. Like if you were in school and said
- let's date till the end of the school year or something. But assuming
- is a serious relationship (or was) since yoy use the term SO, I wouldn't
- recommend a mutal date, *especially* if your SO is not going to want
- the relationshio to end. Th e only reason I can think of why she would
- agree to a future date would be to hope that she can change your mind
- in the meantime. This can make things *very* weird.
-
- As Nike says: "Just do it." This is assuming that you're clear about the
- reasons you want to leave it and that you've been talking with your SO
- all along if there were things not working well. I personally don't
- think much of anyone who just leaves a serious relationship with not
- talking about things and seeing if what's going on is worth working on.
