- Am I the only one out here who likes House of Blue Light? I liked Perfect
- Strangers but thought HoBL was better. I thought Gillan's voice was ok
- on Absence of Pink as well.
-
- I saw him three nights in a row when he made it here with the Gillan band
- earlier this year and he was phenomenal, nothing wrong with that voice at
- all. Like you said he is pure showman, his performence on 'When A Blind
- Man Cries' (just him and the guiatrist playing acoustic) was sensational.

- >Also, what happens to Turner? I like his writing style (assuming he

- >the band, or was it an album deal? Even though he was in Rainbow, I was

-
- Turner's ok but I think he's my least favourite out of all the Purple/Rainbow
- vocalists. His voice is to much of the 'Nice' sanitised American pop variety
- for my likes, though he is getting a bit rougher.
