- Pete Townshend's lyrics, combined with Daltrey's vocals
-
- A perfect example of symbiotic relationship!
-
- and the energetic backup of Keith the Inferno Moon and John Entwistle,
-
- the wild thrasher and the stabilizing factor!
-
- will never again be matched in terms of raw energy.

- I agree, and have many fine examples of this raw energy captured live!

- I think that it's time I mentioned a rumour that I heard way back when.
- It seems that the Beatles and the WHO, were more collaborative than
- competitive! They had toured together and I think became friends. Well
- the story goes that the second side of Abbey Road, where the songs all
- segue into each other and are quite short, happened to be the overture
- for a rock opera that the Beatles intended to release during problems
- with the bands stability. Rumor alert******** I heard that the Beatles
- agreed not to release their album because Tommy was due out, and so they
- held the beatle rock opera, but later put the overture on abbey road!
-
- The Who also had another one, or at least pete townshend
- did called, 'Life house' Sounded cool, most of it ended up on the "Who
- came first" album.
-
-
- There is a great book to read about The Who, called, My Generation.
- It's detail reminded me of the Beatles by Hunter Davies.... good stuff.
-
-
- Let's post more about the Who here! Anybody got any tapes they want to
- trade. I have a few good boot albums!
- Send email for a list!
