  30.  musically talented, original, and expressive player out there.  And speaking
  31.  of Satch, I just bought tickets to see him in Minneapolis on Dec. 20th with 
  32.  T-RIDE. I've seen them once before (the lead axe is one of Satriani's many 
  33.  prominent protege's) and while they are definately a METAL band, they are 
  34.  doing some original and very cool things with vocal harmonys.  If you've 
  35.  ever heard them, you'll know what I mean (and yes, they really can sing like 
  36.  that live). Anyway, I'd highly recommend the show, if you can still catch it;
  37.  as well as any of Satriani's discs (excepting *maybe* the next to latest one -
  38.  he's not much of a vocalist).  As far as other instrumental rock/metal, 
  39.  there's Yngwie Malmstein (very fast; not always as expressive or well crafted 
  40.  as Satch). Also, there are several interesting instrumental metal collections
  41.  out there - for example the Guitars that Rule the World and Ominous Guitarists
  42.  from Beyond discs.  Good luck; and enjoy!
