  21.   To follow up on some questions about demo submissions:
  22.  
  23.   - We will critique any and all demo material as long as it is techno
  24.     oriented. Good/bad/long/short/dirty/clean are not issues. All we
  25.     care about is the quality of the attempt.
  26.  
  27.   - "Unsigned" is not a pre-requisite. We say this to emphasize that
  28.     we accept demos from "the little guy." We are also trying to present
  29.     worthy demos to as many interested ears as possible. If you are 
  30.     involved with a contract representative, please let us know ahead of
  31.     time so we do not cross any legal wires.
  32.  
  33.   - We prefer to have submissions on a CrO2 cassette recorded without
  34.     dolby noise reduction. This is pretty much standard industry 
  35.     protocol. DAT is impressive, but not necessary.
  36.  
  37.   - A full bio package is great but it's the music that will impress. On
  38.     the other hand, don't be artsy and submit anonymously. At the very
  39.     least include your name and some means of contact. We also like to
  40.     see some info on the production details, the equipment used etc.
  41.  
  42.   - Material will not be returned unless you request so and arrange to
  43.     cover the appropriate postal costs. Hopefully when we se a few more
  44.     bucks this policy will change.
  45.  
  46.   - We are acting as "collector" for Bill Leib and Michael Balch who will
  47.     be producing a compilation CD of hardcore techno due for release in
  48.     late January. The working title of this project is "Coodinate 01."
  49.  
  50.     They are aiming for 15-16 tracks or 70 minutes worth of material. 
  51.     This means there is an upper limit of 5 minutes per track. Recording 
  52.     quality is important since they want to do as little production
  53.     as possible. But if there is a grunge demo that kicks, they will do
  54.     whatever is necessary to include it. All tracks will eventually be 
  55.     fed into SoundTools - so a SoundTools compatible file is also a means
  56.     of submitting.

  58.     The deadline for submission for the compilation is a firm December 20th.
