- Oh man oh man. I couldn't believe that they were playing Hyperreal
- Selector. That is my absolute favorite song on En-Tact. I went
- absolutely nuts as well. I don't think much of the rest of the crowd
- got it tho.
- When I had first heard the song on the album, I turned to my friend
- and said, this sounds so much like MBM. He thought I was just giving
- MBM too much credit. Sure enough, that remix is by none other than
- Jack Dangers. The song would have no problem fitting on either 99% or
- Satyricon.
-
- In any case, the Shamen in LA were better than a year ago, but they
- weren't *that* good (mainly 'cause I didn't like much of the new
- stuff). Though I must give them some credit because they turned out a
- better performance than most techno bands I've seen (Altern8, Prodigy,
- etc). Well, maybe equal to Altern8.
-
- It should be interesting to see what the upcoming MBM show is like.
- 2 1/2 years ago they had Marcus (the dancer with the knobby hairdoo)
- and *lots* of energy. Easily one of the best shows I had ever been
- to. But Jack's new album is a little more mellow and trancey than
- his past stuff, and he is paired with Orbital and Ultramarine (Should
- build up in energy as the night goes on). I hope he is able to pull
- off just as strong a performance. I missed the 99% tour so I don't
- know how that was.
