  14.    I have some questions about the Pro-2006 from Radio Shack.  Over the
  15. weekend I asked more than one Radio Shack salesman about modifactions
  16. and they all gave me the same response; the "NEW" 2006s can't be modified
  17. to receive cellular frequencies.  I didn't believe them one bit.  Figured
  18. it's just a plan by the Tandy bigshots to make their scanners look innocent
  19. in the recent FCC hype over cellular action.  So to see for myself, I
  20. bought one.  First thing I did was open it up and check for the two glass
  21. diodes behind the number 3 on the keypad.  THEY'RE THERE!  Does this mean
  22. the scanner is definitely modifible?  Has anyone purchased a 2006 in the
  23. last month and successfully restored cellular on it?  The scanner is
  24. awesome compared to the BC200xlt I was using.  But if it can't be modified,
  25. I may not keep it.  If you think a private response is more appropriate in
