- Well, thought Ixy, once again I'm off on a quest. Saving a person this time.
- This is definitely a switch from recovering spheres. And different companions
- too. I couldn't take another extended journey with the others. Not now.
-
- He looked at his companions.
- Boy, Indigo is not looking that happy. I wonder what's bugging him.
- Ixy attempted a brief touch, but found that, like himself, Indigo keeps his
- mind guarded at all levels at all times, and so there were no surface thoughts
- to be found. I can't fault him for that. I would do the same in his place.
- For that matter, I am doing the same.
-
- He looked toward Moria and found her in thought. She may have been taught by
- Indigo, but she may not be as guarded as he, Ixy thought as he tried to touch
- on her. He found her thinking about everyone in the group as well. So as not
- to invade privacy, he quickly withdrew. If she wants her thoughts known, she'll
- make them so. I'm just being a busybody. Oh, well.
- The squirrel rider was nowhere to be seen, nor was Kotaro. Well, back to two
- companions, as usual. He sighed quietly.
- Reaching into one of his pockets, he pulled out a small instrument. possibly
- a flute, to any looking at it. As the ride continued, he began playing a soft
- melody, neither happy nor sad, just a soft tune. After a while, the tune
- started to pick up a couple sad overtones, but they were only noticable by one
- who listened for them, and, of course, by Ixy himself.
