  11.   Jenever lost sight of Killian once again as the battle raged anew.  Hours
  12. passed, or so it seemed, and by the time the last man fell, she had been pushed
  13. back to the stern.
  14.   It seemed that there were no others left on board anywhere, but she was sure
  15. that could not be right.  As she made her way back to the spot where she had
  16. last seen Killian she encountered nothing until she found the great cat's
  17. motionless form lying on the bloodstained deck.  "Kitty cat!" she cried as she
  18. ran. Jen dropped to the ground, and hauled the warm mass of fur into her lap.
  19. "Killian!" and the first tears flowed down her battle-worn face.
