  11. ADMIN: Luthor and his mentor Eric are returning from the roof of the Dragons
  12.        Inn where they have begun to worry about the chaos caused in Generica
  13.        by the actions of the [KQ] guys and Great Mother.
  14.  
  15. Directly under the brightest light of the Dragons Inn bar room, a
  16. swirling column of grayness appeared like steam disbursing, except in reverse.
  17. The column covered an empty table.  When a breeze from the opening of the
  18. door touched the cloud, it was swept away revealing two seated figures.
  19.  
  20. The first was dressed in a light gray robe which matched the tint of the
  21. mysterious mist that had surrounded him moments before.  He was a human,
  22. perhaps in his mid-twenties, perhaps not.  His blonde hair spilled over and
  23. past his shoulders reaching to the middle of his back.  His skin was fair,
  24. punctuated by two gray eyes that sparkled with wisdom.

  26. His companion was a golden skinned Half-Elf of jet black hair.  He
  27. wore a BLACK cloak (need I say more?).
  28.  
  29. "What could be causing such a problem Eric?  Generica has had its
  30. time stream problems for a while now, but nothing like this." Luthor asked.
  31.  
  32. "From the look of it, I would say that it is either interference of a God
  33. in the laws of magic here, OR someone is tampering with combinations of
  34. powerful magic types...Rune Magic and Necromancy for example, OR something
  35. akin to the falling of our Gods in the Realms could be happening here...
  36. this couLD BE THE START OF..." Eric began saying, unintentionally building
  37. up the ressonance that was Shadow Magic.

  39. "ERIC!  Watch what you say!"  Luthor broke in.
  40.  
  41. "Sorry, it just started coming out."  His face flushed briefly, he felt like
  42. a novice who had used Shadow Magic unintentionally much to the disapproval
  43. of his master.  "Luthor, we really should find the extent to which the chaos
  44. is growing, then we can start fixing the holes."  Eric took out a coin and
  45. flipped it into the air.
  46.  
  47. "THIS COIN COULD LAND ON ITS SIDE" he said as it fell...and stood on its end
  48. without a single bounce.
  49.  
  50. Luthor took the experiment a step further.  He took out his own coin and
  51. flipped it.  "THIS COIN MIGHT NOT FALL"  The coin obeyed and remained floating
  52. in the air above the table.  Luthor was taken back...the chance of gravity
  53. failing was a tiniest fraction above zero.  This did not bode well for
  54. Generica.
  55.  
  56. Serene walked over and plucked the coin out of the air, "Neat trick Luthor,
  57. thanks for the tip.  Now, what would you and your friend here like?"
  58.  
  59. "Hello Serene, let me introduce you to my mentor, Eric.  Eric, this is Serene..
  60. and Mista," he added indicating the tiny baby that Serene carried in a harness
  61. across her stomach.
  62.  
  63. "Pleased to meet you Eric, Luthor has told me a lot about you, but I had always
  64. pictured you a little...um..." Serene didn't want to offend the young looking
  65. human.
  66.  
  67. "A little older perhaps?  I admit that I am much older than I look, I take
  68. no offense.  Why don't you join us here for a moment?"  Eric said.
  69.  
  70. "No, but thanks anyway, I have a lot of orders to handle...Let me guess,
  71. a Soul Sucker for Luthor and...a Kaluah and Cream for Eric, right?"  Serene
  72. guessed.

  74. "Telepathic bar maid eh?  Very useful to have around."  Eric was impressed.
  75.  
  76. "No, not telepathic, just good," Luthor remarked with a smile.  "What is
  77. wrong with Mista?  She looks tired...she's not ill is she?"  Luthor said
  78. in a flood of paternal instinct.
  79.  
  80. "I'm not sure what is wrong.  She is probably just tired.  I have a break
  81. coming up in a few minutes and I'll have Mary look at her.  Just relax with
  82. your frined and I'll take care of things."  Serene smiled reassuringly at
  83. Luthor's concern.
  84.  
  85. Their conversation was interrupted by a rumbling sound that was coming from
  86. outside the inn.  Luthor jumped up and ran to the door, followed close behind
  87. by Eric.  Outside the inn, Luthor saw four approaching figures.
  88.  
  89. The first was a creature of pure flames.  Milticolored fire played over its
  90. body, blasting Luthor with heat and sending thick clouds of black smoke into
  91. the air.
  92.  
  93. The second was a whirlwind of air, made visible only by the debris that it
  94. carried as its form circled around itself ceaselessly.
  95.  
  96. The third a humanoid wave which sloshed its way to the inn leaving soaked
  97. rubble behind in its path.  The water of which it was composed flowed and
  98. splashed creating white foam on its surface.
  99.  
  100. The final figure was that of a very muscular human of stone instead of
  101. flesh.  Its fists were studded with sharp looking gemstones.  Its skin was
  102. swirled like marble.
  103.  
  104. When they were in the center of the plaza, the stone man raised his arms into
  105. the air and stomped his feet causing the inn itself to shake slightly.  Through
  106. the bricks of the plaza came a dozen smaller humanoids of stone to join their
  107. master in his attack.
  108.  
  109. "There is a group of elementals coming toward the inn!  I don't think that
  110. they will be able to get in, but I think we should do something!" Eric
  111. shouted to the other patrons.
  112.  
  113. "Someone go get Trawm, he'd be interested in this.  Serene, you might want to
  114. call the Mists to keep the inn from burning."  Without another word, Luthor
  115. ran out of the front door to deal with the elementals.

  117. ADMIN: Alright, you guys volunteered to help...well...HELP!!!!!!
  118.  
  119. Summary of powers of these creatures:
  120. Fire: can shoot flames, burns all touching him
  121. Air:  gusts of wind, tends to throw people around
  122. Water: jets of water, will bear hug people to drown them
  123. Earth: Can summon and control smaller elementals, VERY strong
  124. Luthor will concern himself with the Earth elemental, Eric with the Air.
