  16. Hi all -
  17.    I'm not much of a computer user, but a friend of mine who is a CS
  18. grad student explained this news thing to me and I have to admit to
  19. being a little intrigued by the possibility of more or less instant
  20. communication with people all over the globe.
  21.    I am a 21 year old SWM college senior (History) who is reasonably
  22. attractive - blue eyes, brown hair, and a proportional hight/weight
  23. ratio (5'10", 155 lb).  I would like to meet or correspond with a single
  24. female of roughly my age group who shares my enjoyment of intellectual
  25. conversation for pure joy of the mental gymnastics involved.  My
  26. particular areas of interest are intellectual history and the issues
  27. involed in the conflicts of religion and science.  To be fair, my
  28. desire is less to start a one-on-one conversation than to bring a new
  29. voice into the group of four or five (male and female) late-night
  30. breakfast & conversation friends I hang around with, so familiarity
  31. with Thomas Kuhn, Hans Kung, Roger Penrose, and the ubiquitous Stephen
  32. Hawking would be a plus (in fact, if any SF's out there _really_
  33. understand the mathematics in Hawking's work then you should definitely
  34. write - none of us do!).
  35.    Your email opinions and ideas will be happily proxied if you live
  36. some distance away, or if you live in the southeastern Louisiana area
