  18. Another lurker surfaces and looks around...

  20. Somebody said it's almost as hard to create an ad as it is to respond
  21. to one. I disagree...responding to an ad is pretty easy. Posting an ad
  22. is an entirely different animal. My head knows that this is an anonymous
  23. posting; my gut feeling is that everyone who knows me will instantly know
  24. who posted this mess. Oh well...so what? I'm not proud... :)

  26. Cut to the chase: I'm 28 years old, 6'1", with dark brown hair and hazel 
  27. eyes. I live in Champaign and work for the University of Illinois. I
  28. enjoy most of what you'd expect a guy to enjoy: music, movies, books,
  29. baseball (I'm a Cardinal fan, but please don't hold that against me if
  30. you prefer the Cubs...I try not to gloat *too* much. :), computers, etc. 
  31. I also love cartoons (especially Ren & Stimpy...Powdered Toast Man just 
  32. slays me. "Leave everything to me!", says PTM), pinball, and The Onion.

  34. I'm not a big drinker, but I like to stop for a beer after work occasional-
  35. ly, and "do the town" (such as it is) every now and then. I don't care much
  36. for the campus bars, though...most of them are just too damn crowded. 
  37. I'm open, honest, friendly (although a bit shy at first), with a dry,
  38. irreverent (some say warped) sense of humor, distrustful of politicians 
  39. and other "authority" figures, but optimistic about the future.

  41. What I'm looking for: A single female who's interested in friendship at
  42. first, with a possible long-term commitment if we seem to be compatible.
  43. Age is not important, but maturity is. I value intelligence and sincerity
  44. over anything else. If you're overly interested in the amount of money a
  45. man makes, or the kind of car he drives, we would probably not get along.
  46. (Not that I'm poverty-stricken...I'm not. It's the *attitude* that I don't
  47. like, if that makes any sense.)

  49. It would be nice if you live within a reasonable distance of C-U, too...
  50. I'd prefer to meet someone whom I can see more often than, say, every
  51. other weekend, but my definition of "reasonable" is flexible.
