- the patriarchal one. I don't think
- that one can so automatically make
- that assumption.

- men; the "why" here is irrelevant. It
- may well be that patriarchal condition-
- ing is entirely "in the head" and not
- "in the genes" at all. If so, by
- changing the focus of the culture from
- the center of power-over expressed by
- patriarchy to the center of power-from-
- within expressed by matriarchy, the
- culture would produce men with a matri-
- archal conciousness and a more equal
- society as a whole would be created.
