  15. There used to be a series of conferences involving scientists, writers, other
  16. academics, etc., trying to work for world peace.  They were called the Pugwash
  17. Conferences, because the first (I think) was held in Pugwash (Nova Scotia).
  18. My memory is pretty hazy on this, as you can see. This was in the 60's.

  20. I presume this newsgroup was created for communication about this conference;
  21. that's why it's in alt.ORG .
