- I don't know if I'm an old fart or not. I knew I liked TMBG from the
- moment I saw "Puppet Head" on MTV, and the opinion was confirmed when I
- heard "I Hope That I Get Old Before I Die" on a college radio station, but
- I postponed actually getting any of their albums until Flood came out.
- Flood was a permanent resident in my roommate's CD player for a few
- weeks, and then I had to get the antediluvian albums as well. I'm a
- picky music buyer; I had no evidence that the rest of the stuff on TMBG
- and Lincoln wasn't a bunch of tepid power ballads until I heard an album
- all the way through.
-
- (though I must admit that the possibility of TMBG doing an album of tepid
- power ballads sounds like a great idea to me now...kind of like Devo's
- Muzak album...)
