  28. I don't know if I'm an old fart or not.  I knew I liked TMBG from the
  29. moment I saw "Puppet Head" on MTV, and the opinion was confirmed when I
  30. heard "I Hope That I Get Old Before I Die" on a college radio station, but
  31. I postponed actually getting any of their albums until Flood came out.
  32. Flood was a permanent resident in my roommate's CD player for a few
  33. weeks, and then I had to get the antediluvian albums as well.  I'm a
  34. picky music buyer; I had no evidence that the rest of the stuff on TMBG
  35. and Lincoln wasn't a bunch of tepid power ballads until I heard an album
  36. all the way through.

  38. (though I must admit that the possibility of TMBG doing an album of tepid
  39. power ballads sounds like a great idea to me now...kind of like Devo's
  40. Muzak album...)
