- I saw the show as well, but I arrived too late to see the Boo Radleys.
- (Riding a Powell Quicksilver skateboard downhill to the Moore Theater
- on wet pavement at night is not a healthy habit to get into. ;^7 )
-
- Thanks for the Boo Radleys review, Lena. I'm glad I didn't miss
- anything mindblowing like Sadhappy, or Black Happy or something...
-
- The only details you missed on the Muses show are that the bassist hid in
- the shadows during most of the show while the spotlight was on Kristen.
- The bass playing was great but the bass amplification was *too* great.
- I wore earplugs through both the Muses and Sugar shows.
-
- There were also some techincal difficulties with Kristen's guitar and amp.
- Kristen joked with someone in the audience while the sound guys scurried
- about like squirrels around a outdoor power transformer. (BZZZT! TOOF!)
- She was very sweet and doesn't seem to have the usual artist's "attitude".
-
- I am not a big follower of Sugar's music, but I really did like the show.
- I didn't know if there would be a mosh frenzy during their show, so I took
- refuge from the crowd by sneaking upstairs to a side balcony. From this
- vantage point I got a good view of the show without putting moshers at risk.
- (I still had my skateboard with me) The moshing was mostly restricted to
- pogoing in the front rows and was pretty subdued. Everyone had a good time.
