- Sub Pop first itself up on Green River, Tad, Chemisty Set, and a bunch of
- others. Few people are as rabid about "grunge" as I am, and there's no way
- I can ignore the fact that grunge has origins in bands like The MC5, The
- Stooges, and Black Sabbath. It's been around a lot longer than "punk"
- contrary to the claims of folks on the punk mailing list.
