  13. I've just started using Lucid Emacs and it looks very good. I've got
  14. a couple of questions for which I would greatly appreciate some help.

  16. 1) Simple question - is it possible to install mouseable scrollbars?

  18. 2) Being a creature of habit, I cannot keep myself from hitting the 
  19.    backspace key when I want a backspace. I've tried inserting
  20.    "(global-set-key 'BS 'delete-backward-char)" in my .emacs file but it
  21.    doesn't seem to have any effect. However, I do seem to be able to get
  22.    the desired result by invoking the global-set-key command interactively.
  23.    Also, is there any good reason why I shouldn't do this, assuming I can
  24.    figure out how, that anyone knows of?
