  13. Most of the programs that I know of that are written in the various
  14. flavors of Basic don't advertise that fact.  Nevertheless, here are
  15. a few examples:
  16.    1. EasyCASE Plus (Evergreen Case Tools)
  17.    2. FontMinder (Ares Software)
  18.    3. Windows Sound System (Microsoft)
  19.    4. StockChart (Young Sotware Works)
  20.    5. Test (Microsoft) <more of a hybrid, really>

  22. Of course, these are shrink-wrapped packages in the PC arena, and
  23. there are probably quite a few people in the government / academic
  24. community to whom the PC seems to be only a minor blip on their
  25. horizons.  Thankfully, they'll all be formatting their resumes using
  26. languages like TEX while the rest of us watch them become rapidly
  27. dwindling specks in our rearview mirros! <g>
