  11. It should also be made clear that other macros besides init are available.
  12. Basically, anything you can do from the shell or in ftp, you can do with a
  13. macro.  I didn't know about the default deal, though.. that's cool.
  14. For example, I have a macro to get and more a file called "vf" and a
  15. recursive directory macro called "dr" and one to create a0 length
  16. message called "msg".  You can use things like $1 in a macro to mean the
  17. first argument passed to the macro...
  18.  
  19. Hope this helps a little... BUt remember that it only scratches the 
  20. surface of .netrc capabilities..
