- ERIC is one of two major indexes in the field of education. It is produced
- by the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) under the auspices
- of the US Department of Education. Up until a few weeks ago it was
- available through CARL (the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries),
- however, now you must be a registered user on CARL to access it. Most of
- us would have to pay for access to this service.
-
- There are some gopher sites that have the ERIC digest available (a
- "condensed" version of some Research In Education reports which are
- indexed in ERIC), but no one has the actual database on the Internet at
- this time. If you're at Purdue, I'd bet my NeXT that your library has a
- subscription to ERIC -- probably even in CD-ROM.
