  13. The FreeNets are local bulletin boards that provide
  14. access to each other and mail to the Internet. I don't
  15. believe that they provide full ftp and telnet access.

  17. The main one, the first one, is at Cleveland. You can
  18. telnet there
  19.     telnet freenet-in-a.cwru.edu

  21. There are several others, including Peoria, Ill. (telnet
  22. heartland.bradley.edu, login bbguest), Lorain County Ohio,
  23. Tri-State Online (Cincinnati), Youngstown, Ohio.

  25. I understand Denver opened one recently, and that many, many
  26. other communities are considering them. I am sure the Cleveland
  27. Freenet will have the latest info.
