- The FreeNets are local bulletin boards that provide
- access to each other and mail to the Internet. I don't
- believe that they provide full ftp and telnet access.
-
- The main one, the first one, is at Cleveland. You can
- telnet there
- telnet freenet-in-a.cwru.edu
-
- There are several others, including Peoria, Ill. (telnet
- heartland.bradley.edu, login bbguest), Lorain County Ohio,
- Tri-State Online (Cincinnati), Youngstown, Ohio.
-
- I understand Denver opened one recently, and that many, many
- other communities are considering them. I am sure the Cleveland
- Freenet will have the latest info.
