- Hello, netters:
-
- I have read several messages requesting help on how to setup an
- internet node.
-
- My question is on the same line but with the following specifics:
-
- 1. The Internet connection I am looking into is for a under-developed
- country that does not have access to Internet at this moment.
-
- 2. This will be the first connection and I need pointers to the neccesa-
- information and documentation on how to set up that first node that
- will serve as a server for other networks in that country:
-
- 3. The info i need includes:
- Software,
- Hardware,
- Paper work to setup the IP numbers (I guess it may fall within class C)
- Who to contact (NIC? addresses?)
- How the contact must be made (government, university, etc)?
- How much the support people will have to know about setting up sub-nets
- and maintenance?
- Contracts and bureacracy,
- etc...
-
- Any reasonable answer, please reply to barreraa@lamar.colostate.edu
-
- Thanks in advance.
