  23. Flame bait argument. You convince society to change by convincing people 
  24. that it is in their best interest to not discriminate. Your argument that
  25. they are not fit to live in free society has no validity. One's ability
  26. to live in society is not related to being a nice person or being able to
  27. get along with everyone.

  29. The two initiatives in Oregon and Colorado illustrate this point. Many peo-
  30. ple do not want to actively attack homosexuals, as the failure of the Oregon
  31. initiative shows. However, they do not want to give homosexuals the status
  32. of a protected minority. There's a bit of debate on my campus as to if there
  33. should be a seat on the student body senate for a gay/lesbian seat. I con-
  34. sider such a proposal ludicrous.

  37. actions (and words).
