  35. Most of my gay and lesbian friends are not heterophobes, but the vocal majority,
  36. at least on this group, often come across that way. It would probably be a
  37. very effective technique if the tolerant crowd were also as 'loud'. As it
  38. is, you merely confirm the homophobic suspicious that "you're all trying
  39. to do away with heterosexual people." A ludicrious claim, obviously, but
  40. an easy one to conclude for those who begin leaning in that direction initially.
