  18. to deal with.  Another problem is that defending heterosexuals isn't done
  19. everyday, since their influence is overwhelming.

  34.    Yes, it does seem familiar.  And no, it's not fair, right, etc.
  35.    BUT.. Some het's can be, shall we say, "insensitive"?  
  36.    Being Gay isn't like being black, hispanic, etc.  If you're an identifiable
  37. minority, at least you don't hear the jokes around you (ok, not as much,
  38. but you still get some).  This is not generally true of gays as they grow
  39. up.  Many Gays are disowned by their families for being what they are.
  40. These things add up.  Some Gays become defensive, and, I think, develop
  41. a "seige" mentality.
  42.    That would tend to make them somewhat more likely to categorize even
  43. innocent remarks as "biggoted" or "intolerant".
  44.    Forgive them, they know not what they do.
