  12. Interesting poem, Jim.  I think it has given me some understanding of gays
  13. which I had previoulsy not had.  I think it is customary for us .hets to offer
  14. the standard "I'm not gay" disclaimer when we read and post to groups like
  15. this.  Why?  In my own case, because I see the shit you put up with, and I
  16. don't want that dumped on me by such jerks as long dong.  (yea, go fuck
  17. yourself, bigot.  Just because I am trying to understand these people who are
  18. my brothers and sisters doesn't mean I am one of them.)  I must confess that I
  19. do have some homophobia of my own.  Why?  I honestly cannot answer.  Why am I
  20. bothered by a black man on a dark street at night...  it's the way I was
  21. raised, I guess.  I was wondering about continuing to read this group, because
  22. all of the informative posts which taught me something were being replaced
  23. with these flame wars...   your poem, Jim, has changed my mind...   for now..
