I just a beginning Guitarist, so when I browse alt.guitar I am clueless as to
what all this talk of intonation is.  I just read an article that said some-
thing about having the intonation adjusted when you change the guage of your
strings.  Also that the intonation gets worse as the strings get old.  One
other article I read on fret filing said that when the frets get worn down (as
Mine definitely are) using intonation gets difficult.  Does this have anything
to do with me having to place my fingers right up against the frets to avoid
this annoying rattling soud of the string vibrating over the metal fret????
It makes it tough to get a good sound out of a chord.  Could some one PLEASE
answer these questions for me?????     Thanks,
